The Persian Carpet: "The Persian Carpet
The Persian carpet is woven in cities such as Tabriz, Isfahan, Kashan, Kerman, Qum, Sarouk, Meshhed, Nain, Yezd. We also see the Persian carpet woven in smaller regions such as Heriz or Hamadan. Persian Carpets may even be produced by one of the tribes or ethnic groups such as the Afshar, Shahsevan, Qashqai, Kurdish, or Bakhtiari. The Persian Carpet may take its name from a mistake as with the Polonaise Persian carpets or may take its name from a grade of carpets as we see with the Mahal Carpet.
No matter how it is named I hope you will enjoy my various notes and guides to The Persian Carpet in its many forms.
